Our Applications

Fuel Cells CHPs Plant

Our Fuel Cells CHP Plant generates electricity and usable heat by installing one or more Fuel Cells Energy’s 2.8MW DFC3000.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency describes CHP as follows:

“Combined heat and power (CHP), also known as cogeneration, is an efficient, clean, and reliable approach to generating power and thermal energy from a single fuel source. By installing a CHP system designed to meet the thermal and electrical base loads of a facility, CHP can greatly increase the facility’s operational efficiency and decrease energy costs. At the same time, CHP reduces the emission of greenhouse gases, which contribute to global climate change.”

The heat, which is produced from our fuel cell CHP plants, is used for a variety of purposes including:

·  Facility heating
·  Hot water heating
·  Facility cooling through absorption chilling
·  Heat for industrial operations

Oil Production & Refining

Our fuel Cell CHP plants can be located at oil and gas extraction sites. Natural gas are generally found in the extraction process can be used for our plants for generating continuous base load power to support around-the-clock operations and usable heat output for generating steam for injection.

The plants can also provide clean carbon dioxide (CO2) that can be injected underground for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). The DFC3000 technology separates and concentrates the CO2 that is contained within the natural gas fuel source. This CO2 is virtually absent of pollutants such as nitrogen oxide (NOx), making it suitable for underground injection.

Our corporation installs our fuel cell CHP plants at the extraction site at no capital cost to the owner of oil production & refining plant under our EPA agreement.
